Graduate Medical Education Finance Specialist


The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a detailed oriented individual to serve a key role in the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office. The GME Financial Specialist will be responsible for data tracking and auditing related to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance in order to ensure full and accurate reporting related to reimbursement. The incumbent will be an integral part of the GME team and assist in all aspects of the delivery of graduate medical education.

Experience with financial reporting and auditing. Outstanding attention to detail. Advanced experience in CMS-Medicare reporting requirements. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work and multi-task. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills. Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions. Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team. Minimum of Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
