Clinical Staff Pharmacist (Oncology)

ResponsibilitiesUnder supervision, Staff Pharmacist I's perform a range of functions that include the preparation and dispensing of many types of extemporaneous and bulk compounded non-sterile pharmaceutical dosage forms (oral dispersions and solutions, topical creams and ointments, rectal and vaginal suppositories and oral bulk packs), to fulfill orders from outpatient and inpatient pharmacy practice areas and from clinics. These skills include the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment, and are obtained through extensive training and experience. May interact with other health professionals to help prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications; provision of clinical services (e.g., pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN per pharmacy, pharmacist interventions) according to departmental policy and procedures. This position requires prior Oncology experience.

QualificationsASHP-accredited residency (preferred)
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and professional staff.
Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and follow-through on assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and understand and interpret current scientific literature.
Ability to effectively communicate orally on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies and procedures, and to persuade others to adopt a specific opinion or action.
Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products such as ophthalmic preparations and intrathecal injections according to acceptable standards of aseptic technique.
Pharm D. degree required
Prior Oncology experience
CA Pharmacy license

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
