PDRN-Clinical Nurse - ECT Lab

ResponsibilitiesThe clinical nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for ECT patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients using the nursing process in accordance with the standards of professional nursing practice. The clinical nurse performs in the professional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA); engaging in activities related to ethics, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation , resources utilization, environmental health, and patient advocacy as appropriate to clinical nursing practice.

QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of nursing, current active California R.N. licensure and clinical skills applicable to nursing specialty. Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments of patients using appropriate framework. Demonstrated skill in the delivery of patient care, utilizing team, total, primary or functional systems. Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis. Writing skills to document accurately interventions and patient response. Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff. Knowledge of POMR charting. Skill in setting priorities, organizing workload to effectively administer direct patient care. Skill in speaking English clearly and distinctly to interpret and describe patient assessments and identify nursing interventions and direct staff. Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situations Ability to comply with departmental standards on punctuality, attendance, dress code and varied work schedules. Knowledge and practice in the proper use of safe body mechanics.
PACU, ICU, Medical-surgical, or Procedural Unit experience, highly desired
ACLS, required BLS - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer
BSN or MSN, required



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
