Clinical Nurse

ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Director, Administrative nurse or designee for NM, the primary responsibilities of the CN II/III include: providing direct patient care in all areas of nuclear medicine by utilizing the nursing process, developing and applying concepts of leadership/management and communication theory teaching, and maintenance of professional standards. Applying these standards within the Nuclear medicine setting providing, but not limited to, the following: pediatric sedation, primary IV site care, contrast reaction support, contrast extravasation support, and physical monitoring and medication administration for the radiotherapy patient. The clinical nurse applies knowledge of radiation safety regulations to limit radiation exposure of the general public, patients, fellow workers, and self to as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA). The clinical nurse performs in the professional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA); engaging in activities related to ethics, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation , resources utilization, environmental health, and patient advocacy as appropriate to clinical nursing practice.
QualificationsValid CA RN Licensure.ACLS and PALSAbility to complete a Nursing physical assessmentSkill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progressAbility to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of careAbility to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parametersAbility to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamworkKnowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
