Quality Manager

ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent coordinates, and manages the activities of the department for process improvement implementation, evaluation of processes to assure compliance with the quality initiatives and collaboratives associated with evidence based practice. Facilitates accurate, timely and efficient data collection, data reporting and data analysis, and compliance with all program standards. Performs case abstraction, and oversees data submission and reporting.

QualificationsCalifornia RN License preferred; BSN Required if RN. Degree in related health field also accepted.
Experience: 5 years in acute care setting and 2 years in Quality Core Measures and Collaboratives.
Skill in interacting with both staff and public, deals diplomatically on a daily basis in a high volume setting with frequent interruptions and distractions.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material with discretion and sensitivity. Skill in making appropriate decisions following office procedures and departmental policies.
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information and problems, locate viable resources and formulate recommendations for options.
Ability to taken initiative to investigate and identify relevant issues to improve operative effectiveness.
Working knowledge and demonstrated ability in computers, and intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel, Access or other operational databases, and PowerPoint.
Skill in working independently on assignments with minimal supervision and fluctuating workload.
Able to provide a leadership style that demonstrates the principles of time management, conflict resolution, problem solving, and delegation.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
