Junior Project Manager

Job Description:
Responsibilities The Junior Project Manager (JPM) of the Investigator Sponsored Trials (IST) Team will participate in all research activities as part of the clinical research team at UCLA and the Translational Research in Oncology-US (TRIO-US) Network, under the direction of the IST Manager, investigators, and Senior Management (Clinical Research Unit CRU Director of Research and TRIO-US Regulatory Director).
S/he will assist in protocol development, study start-up, and maintenance of study regulatory files to fulfill research requirements.
The JPM will also work with study teams and study monitors to verify and monitor data to ensure accurate and complete documentation of study patient care and procedures in a timely manner.
Work may be assigned by the IST Manager, Project Manager and Senior Management, and assignments may be changed on an as-needed basis in order to ensure that studies and patient-care needs are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications Strongly prefer a bachelor's degree.
Working knowledge of general medical terminology.
Working knowledge of medical terminology specific to oncology.
Strong clinical research experience, including the ability to execute extensive literature searches (e.
, on PubMed), proofread and edit manuscripts, protocols and reports, etc.
Knowledge of "Good Clinical Practices" for clinical research as defined by the FDA.
Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently and effectively provide support for multiple clinical trials.
Demonstrated understanding proper handling of confidential information (e.
, familiarity with HIPAA).
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload to meet demands of IST Manager, Project Manager, Principal Investigators, and FDA.
Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of the research process as it pertains to clinical trials and studies, i.
, including oversite entities and procedures (e.
, IRB, DSMB, FDA, et al.
) Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and FileMaker Pro (preferred).
Strong English-writing and communication skills (e.
, knowledge of correct use of grammar, punctuation and syntax) to generate original correspondence, including reports and site communication.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
