Administrative Analyst-Critical Care

Job Description:
Responsibilities Under the direction of the Vice Chairman of Critical Care and Critical Care Unit, provide administrative support for the Vice Chair and the group of Physicians that make up Surgical Critical Care.
This individual will assist with maintaining the individual faculty members CMEs, CVs, and provide administrative support for endeavors related to education, research, and conferences.
Other special project management as required by the Vice Chair of Critical Care and Directors of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Director of ICU.
Qualifications Required: Typing skill to prepare business correspondence, reports and schedules with speed and accuracy.
Skill in writing grammatically correct/concise business correspondence, reports, maintaining CVs and writing out performance evaluations.
Skill in speaking on a one-to-one basis with persons of various cultural, economic backgrounds to obtain information and explain procedures, interpret instructions.
Skill in using various computer spreadsheet software programs to compile data and complete necessary reports.
Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly using correct English.
Skill in working as part of a team; collaborating with colleagues.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with other staff members, subordinates, administrators and physicians.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of University staff procedures and protocols including bargaining unit standards.
Skill in making appropriate job decisions following UCLA standard policies/procedures, past precedents and common sense.
Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and with frequent interruptions and distractions.
Skill in organizing material, information and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
