Management Services Officer

Job Description:
Responsibilities The position will be responsible for: 1) Section Administration, 2) Business development/management, and 3) Research administration in the Department of Radiological Sciences, for all services supported by assigned FTE.
Incumbent directly responsible for administrative support of assigned faculty in addition to supervisory duties.
Responsible for administrative and budgetary analysis, coordination of clinical services and personnel, policy and procedure recommendations for the Department and working collaboratively with faculty, supervised staff and human resource director to resolve issues, identify opportunities and create a professional and positive working environment.
Responsibility also includes supervising medical staff and research coordinators, hiring, recruiting qualified personnel, working with the lead physicians, and the Section Chiefs for assuring overall effective operation of the practice in the Diagnostic Cardiovascular Imaging (DCVI), Breast Imaging and Musculoskeletal Imaging (MSK) sections; and the Magnetic Resonance Research Lab, in addition to primary administrative support for the DCVI Section members.
Minimal supervision by Section Chiefs for day-to-day management of overall sections' function.
Able to make independent decisions on daily tasks and duties.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Excellent problem-solving abilities and service attitude.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of faculty and staff.
Excellent ability to perform variety of duties with frequent interruptions and to work effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
Thorough working knowledge of Windows and Mac platforms, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated knowledge of Endnote and FileMaker Pro.
Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping and spread sheet software including Excel.
Demonstrated experience in business plan preparation.
Ability to acquire new technical skills and assume responsibility for new tasks.
Skill in setting priorities, which accurately reflect importance of job responsibilities.
Ability to organize information, materials and personnel in systematic way to optimize resources for effective delivery of services.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, precise, detailed, and comprehensive and grammatically correct letters, memos & reports.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Demonstrated experience with image manipulation using graphic programs such as Adobe PhotoShop.
Familiarity with Internet software-Internet browser, FTP etc.
Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
