Special Projects Coordinator

Job Description:
Responsibilities Under the direction of the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) Director of Strategice Partnerships (DSP), the Special Projects Coordinator provides comprehensive support for JCCF fundraising and stewardship events and activities including the Events Program's with particular emphasis on developing Third Party event relationsips through in-person, phone and email communicaton.
Qualifications A minimum of two years professional event coordination or social media/online marketing experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Demonstrated successful project, event planning and management experience.
Demonstrated experience and expertise with digital/social media channels, mobile technology, online giving, e-newsletters, web/online marketing tools and third-party applications.
Knowledge of industry best practices for social media, online marketing and web site usage.
Proficient in HTML, Flash, and/or other web design software, as well as email software.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain websites and social media channels including writing, editing, designing, and posting material.
Possess strong internet research skills with the ability to find and compile interesting and relevant content (blog posts, news items, photos, video, etc.
).
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal communications skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and interact diplomatically and effectively with volunteers, administrators, faculty, staff, campus colleagues and vendors.
Ability to work effectively under conditions of heavy workload, frequent interruptions, distractions and tight deadlines.
Demonstrated analytical skills to effectively assess performance of special events and communication programs, and make recommendations for improvements.
Ability to analyze and interpret statistics and tracking tools in order to effectively plan and make recommendations for changes in strategies and goals.
Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading skills to produce appropriate donor acknowledgment letters, documents, reports, and online content utilizing correct grammar, syntax, punctuation.
Demonstrated excellent editing and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated skill in recruiting, training and supervising support staff.
Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
Strong communication skills to convey, both orally and in writing, the fundraising mission of the JCCF and research progress and goals of the JCCC.
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite software including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and graphics software.
Ability to work overtime, evenings and weekends for special events, projects and meetings both on and off campus.
Experience using fundraising and email software, particularly Raiser's Edge and Convio, and auction tracking software such as AuctionMaestro Pro.
Possession of a driver's license and access to an insured vehicle to travel to off-site meetings and events.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in a donor environment and use discretion in responding to inquiries.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
