Research Project Director

Job Description:
Responsibilities Staff Research Associate IV/Project Director needed for mixed methods semi-structured interview and survey studies assessing: 1) patient perspectives on apixaban (Eliquis) and over-the-counter product interactions, and 2) patient perspectives about primary statin non-adherence.
The project director (PD) will report directly to the Principal investigator.
This person will work independently to execute major portions of the research projects, such as recruiting for and conducting semi-structured and focus group interviews, and will work with the research team to refine interview scripts.
The SRA IV also will be expected to independently analyze semi-structured and focus group interviews, and generate ideas for manuscripts and grant proposals.
This person will direct and participate in all aspects of the research study, including developing study materials, training and supervising of work-study and volunteers and pilot-testing and administering surveys.
Our Project Director also will coordinate with a transcription company to transcribe and translate interviews, and verify transcriptions for accuracy of transcription and translation.
They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining both data- and participant tracking databases, and will also assist with data analysis and report preparation.
In addition, the project director will prepare and submit IRB applications to the UCLA Human Subjects Protection Committee, and write and submit progress reports to funding agencies.
Qualifications REQUIRED -Experience with qualitative research methods such as conducting semi-structured interviews and focus groups is required.
-Must be detailed oriented, able to work independently and efficiently, and manage multiple tasks.
-Occasional travel may be required to Santa Monica and to senior centers around the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
-Strong computer skills STRONGLY PREFERRED -Master's Degree or Ph.
in social sciences or public health and two years or more experience in supervising research projects or Bachelor's Degree and 4 years or more of similar experience -Working knowledge of RedCap -Ability to devise and maintain tracking system for study subjects -Experience with or knowledge of outpatient physician-patient office visits -Experience in writing granting agency reports and grant proposals PREFERRED -Bilingual English and Spanish -Working knowledge of ATLAS.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
