Strategic Sourcing Coordinator - Patient Care

As a Strategic Sourcing Coordinator for Patient Care, you will work with health system departments and suppliers to implement multi-year strategic initiatives that leverage system-wide volume, optimize the number of vendors and provide pre-arranged supply channels and contracting.
Your focus will be on cost reduction and improved supply chain management.
You will review purchasing agreements to initiate supply cost reduction and strategic sourcing initiatives.
This position is also responsible for leading strategic sourcing committees and training/leading others in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives.
We're seeking a proven leader with a graduate degree in a related field and: Minimum of five years experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management practices, preferably with a large academic medical centerDemonstrated experience in the procurement of goods and servicesAbility to perform complex analysis to develop strategic sourcing and cost saving initiativesProficiency in Microsoft suite of software applicationsUnderstanding of enterprise integrated financial systems, including procurement systemsKnowledge of relevant industry trends and issuesAbility to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures, and to formulate logical and objective conclusionsAbility to establish and monitor appropriate performance metricsStrong skills in directing cross-organizational workgroups and building consensus UCLA Health is a world-renowned health system with four award-winning hospitals and dozens of primary care practices, specialty practices, urgent care centers and other ancillary locations throughout metro Los Angeles.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
